Skincare Tips for Moms: 4 Easy Steps to Healthy Skin

Let’s face it, Moms are awesome! It’s almost as if they have super human power able to work 24 hour shifts with extremely developed skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, crisis management, boo-boo specialist, culinary genius, transportation dispatch operator, psychologist, fashion consultant, hairdresser, bugger bobber, laundry master, financial wizard and lover. With all these jobs how would you find time to pamper your skin and give it the love and attention it deserves? Moms are too busy giving everyone else their love and attention that they often forget to give it to themselves. So this Mother’s Day I say everyone take a moment to return the favor to all of the wonderful, amazing mom’s out there. And moms don’t forget to pamper yourself!

Since moms have so many important jobs and demands we came up with 4 Easy Skincare Steps for Moms.

Step 1: Cleansing

Simple is key here. You need to find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to, and stick with it. Here are our Premier recommended cleansers for your skin type.

We suggest you choose a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin or a clear cleanser if you have oily skin.

Be careful not to cleanse too often as over-cleansing the skin, will potentially give you rashes or even adult acne as a response. At night, remember to remove makeup and sunscreen, which can clog the pores.

If you have dry skin, consider the Premier Milk Cleanser and simply apply then wipe off, no water needed (if you have hard water, it can be especially harsh on skin). It is enriched with special conditioners to provide essential moisture for the skin while gently cleansing and protecting it.

Most women prefer to cleanse with warm water to loosen dirt and clogged pore as. If that is your case, use a dime-sized bit of the Premier Cleansing Facial Gel, and then rinse with cool or lukewarm water for a nice, pH 5.5 balanced skin. It is made of pure essential oils and soap-less face cleansing gel that cleanses and balances the skin.

To complement the treatment, using a gentle antiseptic Toner will delicately remove last traces of makeup while soothing and comforting the skin. Skin feels rejuvenated, relaxed and refreshed.

It is important to use toner, instead of regular tap water, because tap water contains heavy metals, such as lead, zinc, and iron, and thus may cause damage to the delicate facial skin.

Step 2: Exfoliate

Exfoliation is the step most people skip in their weekly skincare routine. But trust us, if you start properly exfoliating your skin, you will notice an immediate difference.

We recommend using a naturally based facial scrub up to 2-3 times a week. A good one is Premier Exfoliating and Cleansing Facial Gel. It is enriched with micro-plant seeds and aromatic oils to clean and exfoliate the face skin, increase circulation and balance skin tissue. It removes the top layer of dead skin cells that tend to dull your complexion and block your skin from absorbing the essential nutrients in your everyday skincare.

Step 3: Moisturize

Moisturizer is key to keeping your skin looking younger and radiant. It helps your skin to hold water which in return helps to decrease the effects of aging. A good anti aging moisturizer is always a good investment.

The Premier Moisture Cream Complex is a nourishing, hydrating moisturizer for normal to oily skin that balances and reconditions the skin and combats wrinkles. It moisturizes and hydrates the skin while simultaneously controlling excess oil secretion.

So how much should you moisturize? Your skin will tell you. When your skin is tight, it’s crying out for moisture. Be careful not to over-moisturize — this can clog pores.
Are eye creams necessary? We strongly recommend eye creams. Why? The skin around the eye contains no fatty tissue and is therefore very thin and susceptible to wrinkles. Try the Premier Eye Kit and find our more information on our Beauty Blog.

Step 4: Apply Sunscreen

The #1 cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so it’s important to use a sunscreen of at least 15 SPF from your early years on even in winter and on cloudy days. When choosing a sunscreen, make sure it contains Mexoryl or Helioplex.
